About Aya

Aya is a Saudi-founded fashion-tech platform and marketplace that brings together the latest abaya trends and designs from dozens of independent designers and boutique labels in one place. Founded in 2024 by Munira Al Kadi and Abdulrahman Al Ammar, Aya set out to solve a problem specific to the modest fashion industry: a market worth billions of dollars, yet historically fragmented across countless small designers with no unified way to shop them.

Instead of stocking inventory the traditional way, Aya uses a demand-driven model — testing hundreds of new abaya designs every month and only producing the styles that customers actually engage with in real time. This lets the platform move faster on trends while keeping waste and overstock low, and it's helped Aya grow to serve over 100,000 customers across the Gulf since launch, backed by investors including RAED Ventures, Sanabil Investments (part of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund), Nuwa Capital, and Khwarizmi Ventures.

Today, Aya offers shoppers daily, work, event, and seasonal abayas, under-abaya dresses, accessories, perfumes, and nail polish, sourced from dozens of curated designer lines — with free shipping over 500 SAR, a 7-day return policy, and delivery across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, and Jordan.
